Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks will star in Wes Anderson's next film. The actor will join Adrien Brody, Bill Murray and Tilda Swinton in the film.

According to reports, Hanks' role in the film could be a cameo appearance. Anderson is writing and directing the yet-untitled project. Plot details are currently kept under wraps, and the film is expected to be shot in Spain.

Meanwhile, Anderson's The French Dispatch is slated for a release on October 22. The film also stars Brody, Murray and Swinton, along with Frances McDormand, Timothée Chalamet, Elisabeth Moss, Willem Dafoe and Jeffrey Wright, among others.

Hanks was last seen in News of the World. He will be seen next in sci-fi feature Finch, Baz Luhrman’s Elvis Presley musical movie, and in Robert Zemeckis’ Pinocchio.
