Blonde, a fictionalised retelling of the life and times of Marilyn Monroe, starring Ana de Armas, is set to release in 2022. 

The Andrew Dominik directorial adapted from Joyce Carol Oates' novel of the same name, Blonde will release on Netflix.

In development since 2010, actors like Jessica Chastain and Naomi Watts were once attached to the project but it finally went to Ana de Armas, who has been on an upward swing with successes in films like Blade Runner 2049 and Knives Out. 

Also starring Adrien Brody, Julianne Nicholson and Bobby Cannavale, Blonde is produced by Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Tracey London, Brad Pitt and Scott Robertson.
