Netflix to develop sequel to Yes Day

CE Features

Netflix has announced that a sequel to the family comedy Yes Day, which premiered earlier this March, is currently in the works. The sequel is reportedly a part of actor-producer Jennifer Garner's deal with the streaming giant.

Based on the children's book of the same name by Amy Krouse Rosenthal, Yes Day featured Jennifer Garner and Édgar Ramírez as parents who allow their children to make the rules of 24 hours. The film met with mixed critical reception, but quickly became one of the most popular Netflix originals of the quarter. It is yet to be confirmed whether Miguel Arteta, the director of the original, will be returning to helm the sequel.

Garner will also appear in Netflix's upcoming science-fiction title, The Adam Project, co-starring Ryan Reynolds, Zoe Saldana, and Mark Ruffalo. She will also star in and produce the feature film adaptation of Rosenthal's novel Family Leave.
