Joe Manganiello joins the cast of Moonhaven

Joe Manganiello, best known for his performances in Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL, has joined the cast of the upcoming series, Moonhaven. Billed as a sci-fi drama, the series is currently in the works at AMC Studios.

The show will be reportedly set in a utopian colony on the moon that might hold the key to preserving life on Earth, which has become increasingly dangerous. According to Deadline, Manganiello will be essaying a character named Tomm Schultz, an ex-military man whose ambitions change when he is injected with a mind-altering moon drug.

Moonhaven has been created and written by Peter Ocko, the show will be led by Emma McDonald. The series also features Kadeem Hardison, Amara Karan, and Ayelet Zurer in supporting roles. Ocko will also be serving as an executive producer.

Meanwhile, Manganiello's other acting credits include Shoplifters of the World, The Sleepover, Rampage, and Sabotage, to name a few.
