T-series, Lahari Music acquire music rights of SS Rajamouli's RRR

The labels have the rights of the music in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada

Bhushan Kumar's T-Series & Lahari Music have bagged the music rights of SS Rajamouli's upcoming biggie, RRR.

With music by MM Keeravaani, the film is currently being shot in Hyderabad. Starring NTR Jr, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, and Samuthirakani among others, RRR is one of the most-anticipated Indian films.  

The labels have the rights of the music in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. 

Talking about his acquisition, Bhushan Kumar, head of T-series, said, "It is one of the biggest films we are partnering on.  As a viewer, I have always admired SS Rajamouli's body of work and revered MM Keeravaani's music. I'm thrilled to be associating with RRR because it's the biggest film that will release this year. The music is outstanding and I'm sure the audience will love it, too."

Manohar from Lahari Music added, “I have personally admired MM Keeravaani’s music from past 3 decades and SS Rajamouli is a visionary director. To work with such exemplary creators is a huge opportunity. I am sure the audiences are going to love it.”

RRR's first single, a friendship song, will be launched in the five languages on August 1. The film is expected to hit screens worldwide on 13 October.
