We had previously reported that Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead is getting a prequel in the form of a comedy-heist film titled Army of Thieves. The trailer for the film was released by Netflix earlier today. The film is directed by Matthias Schweighöfer who played one of the leads in Army of the Dead and will be reprising the role in the prequel. 

With Snyder and Schweighöfer also serving as co-producers, the trailer of Army of Thieves was released during a virtual meet for Comic-Con@Home 2021.

The film also stars Nathalie Emmanuel, Guz Khan, Ruby O Fee, Stuart Martin, Jonathan Cohen, Noemie Nakai and Peter Simonischek. Army of Thieves will premiere on Netflix later this year and the release date is expected to be announced by the streaming giant soon.
