Hong Chau joins the cast of The Menu

Actor Hong Chau, best-known for her roles in American films such as DownsizingDrivewaysDuck Butter, and Watchmen, has joined the cast of the upcoming dark comedy, The Menu, which is currently in development at Searchlight Pictures.

Chau will be sharing screen space with Anya Taylor-Joy and Ralph Fiennes in the film, which is set to be directed by Mark Mylod, know for HBO's Succession.

According to Deadline, The Menu is billed as a darkly funny psychological thriller exploring the world of eccentric culinary culture, and focuses on a young couple who visit an exclusive restaurant on a remote island where an acclaimed chef has prepared a lavish tasting menu.

The film has been written by Will Tracy and Seth Reiss, while acclaimed filmmaker Adam McKay will be serving as a producer via his production house Hyperobject Industries in association with Betsy Koch.
