The English period drama series Sanditon has welcomed new cast members for the second season, after it was announced that Theo James exited the series earlier this year. The new actors joining the show include Ben Lloyd-Hughes, Tom Weston-Jones, Rosie Graham, and Maxim Ays, while Rose Willaims will be reprising her role as Charlotte Heywood.

The second season is reportedly based on Jane Austen's final, unfinished novel, and is being spearheaded by Andrew Davies, who will also write multiple episodes. Moreover, Justin Young, who served as a writer for the first season, has been promoted to the role of lead writer. Young will also be executive producing the series in association with Davies.

The show is being produced by Red Planet Pictures with Belinda Campbell serving as an executive producer in association with Masterpiece and ITV/BritBox.
