We had previously reported that three live-action shows based on HBO's Game of Thrones are in development at HBO Max. It is now being reported that the streaming giant is planning to develop two more animated spinoffs based on the source material.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, one of the shows is set in the unexplored Golden Empire of Yi Ti (or simply Yi Ti), a region in the continent of Essos. As per the fantasy books by George RR Martin, the empire is one of the oldest and most advanced parts of the books' universe.

There has been no official confirmation on this development from HBO Max yet. Moreover, it has been reported that one of the live-action spin-offs, titled Flea Bottom, will not be moving forward at HBO Max.

Among the Game of Thrones spin-off titles, House of the Dragon, which follows the Targaryen Civil War, is expected to premiere on the streaming platform in 2022. Other GoT spin-offs currently under development include 9 Voyages and 10,000 ships
