We had previously reported that Sasikuar is working on an untitled film that will be directed by debutant director M Hemanth Kumar. It's now known that actor JD Chakravarthy has been roped in to play the antagonist.

The actor, who has worked in many films in all South Indian languages and in Hindi, is known to the Tamil film audience for the roles he had played in films like Kannathil Muthamittal, Sarvam, and Arima Nambi

Billed as a rural action entertainer, the Sasikumar-starrer is being bankrolled by S Lakshman Kumar through Prince Pictures, the production house behind Karthi's upcoming Sardar. While Bigg Boss-fame Samyuktha Shanmughanathan plays a prominent role in the film, the makers are expected to formally announce the rest of the cast shortly.

With music by D Imman, the film's cinematography and editing are handled by Ganesh Chandra and Shiva Nandeeswaran, respectively.
