Jennifer Lopez, Skydance to Adapt Rodgers & Hammerstein Catalog for TV, Film

We had previously reported that Jennifer Lopez has signed a multi-year deal with Netflix. Now it has been reported that the singer-actor will also be teaming up with Skydance and Concord to produce original content. The deal includes the adaptation of the works of the music composer duo, Rodgers & Hammerstein.

According to reports, the deal, which is currently in early stages, allows Lopez to star at least in one of the titles. One of the first titles being produced under the deal is a contemporary adaptation of the musical, Oklahoma! which originally opened in 1943. Further details related to the project are expected to be announced shortly.

Meanwhile, Lopez will also be seen in the upcoming romantic-comedy Marry Me, opposite Owen Wilson. She also has the action-comedy Shotgun Wedding coming up.
