Vincent Vermignon joins the cast of HBO Max's The Staircase

Vermignon is all set to play a character called Lestrade in the limited series

Actor Vincent Vermignon, well-known for titles like Luther and Ransom, is the latest addition to HBO Max's upcoming true-crime series The Staircase. Vermignon joins an ensemble cast that includes Colin Firth, Toni Collette, Rosemarie DeWitt, Juliette Binoche, Parker Posey, Odessa Young, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Dane DeHaan, Olivia DeJonge, Sophie Turner, Michael Stuhlbarg and Tim Guinee.

Billed as an eight-episode limited series, the show reportedly follows the life of Michael Peterson, played by Firth, his large family, and the suspicious death of his wife, Kathleen, played by Collette. Vermignon is all set to play a character called Lestrade in the limited series.

The Staircase will be directed by Antonio Campos, with a script from Maggie Cohn, the writer of American Crime Story.

Produced by HBO Max in association with Annapurna TV, Campos and Cohn will also be serving as showrunners.

Vermignon has starred in multiple French short, feature and television films, including the recurring role of Stefan in the French series Cut and on the popular shows Plus Belle La Vie and Chronicles of the Sun. His recent TV credits include Luther and Ransom. His upcoming feature film projects include Beyond Existence, Zépon and Le lien qui nous unit.
