Heist film Shelter adds five to its cast

Shelter is set to be directed by Anthony Nardolillo, with an original screenplay written by Michael Corcoran

Actors Lisa Vidal, Cam Gigandet, Jaina Lee Ortiz, Carlos Miranda and Sasha Merci are all on board the upcoming crime-action heist film Shelter.

Shelter follows the head of a secret organisation, who assembles a crew to steal back artwork from a neo-Nazi billionaire oligarch who plundered it during World War II. The film is set to be directed by Anthony Nardolillo, with an original screenplay written by Michael Corcoran.

The project's pre-production works are currently underway, and the film is set to start shooting shortly in Los Angeles.

Shelter is produced by Jolene Rodriguez (7th & Union) of Broken English productions and financed by Ruben Islas’ Grandave Capital. Stanley Preschutti of Grandave Capital and Frank Mayor of Cinevision Global are serving as executive producers.

Vidal is best known for The Baker And The BeautyBeing Mary Jane and Grey’s Anatomy. Gidandet, known for Twilight and The O.C., recently starred in Amazon's Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse and in Netflix's Dangerous Lies.

Ortiz is set to star in her fifth season of Station 19. She has had a successful run in Rosewood and a consequent role in Shooter. Miranda will join Station 19 as a series regular in the coming season and has had recurring roles in the Amazon series Bosch and Comedy Central’s Ana. She's also a series regular in Starz series Vida. Merci, a newcomer, recently starred in the HBO film De Lo Mio.
