Shruti Haasan joins Prabhas' Salaar

The first schedule of Salaar will begin with an action sequence shot in Telangana's Godavarikhani coal mines on January 29

Shruti Haasan has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Prabhas in director Prashanth Neel's new film, Salaar. The KGF director took to Twitter today to announce that Shruti has been brought on board for the film. 

Shruti Haasan, who turned 35 today, is basking in the success of Krack. She will next be seen in a special appearance in Pawan Kalyan-starrer Vakeel Saab.

The first schedule of Salaar will begin with an action sequence shot in Telangana's Godavarikhani coal mines on January 29. The makers have constructed a huge set for a 10-day schedule. 

Rumour has it that the makers are planning to cast Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist of the film. Touted to be an out-and-out action entertainer, Salaar will be released in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi during Sankranthi 2022.
