It is known that Sivakarthikeyan and director Ravikumar (of Indru Netru Naalai fame) are collaborating on a project named Ayalaan. The shooting for the project has now been completed. The director took to Twitter to make the announcement, sharing photos from the last day on sets. 

Billed as a sci-fi film, Ayalaan is said to be heavy on visual effects. It has Rakul Preet playing the female lead. Apart from Sivakarthikeyan and Rakul, the film also features Isha Koppikar in a major role. Ayalaan has music by AR Rahman, cinematography by Nirav Shah, and stunts by Anbariv. The project is bankrolled by 24 AM Studios and KJR Studios. 

After facing multiple production delays due to financial issues and the pandemic, Ayalaan is expected to hit the screens this Christmas. 

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan is currently awaiting the release of Doctor, which is helmed by Kolamaavu Kokila-fame Nelson Dilipkumar.
