Sillu Karupatti-fame Krav Maga Sreeram passes away

Krav Maga Sreeram, the martial art instructor-turned-actor who gained fame through his film debut in 2019's Sillu Karuppatti, passed away this morning in a freak accident. 

Sreeram, who hailed from Nannilam in Nagapattinam, was a well-known martial art trainer. He was reportedly teaching his students on his terrace when he suffered a fatal fall. He was 60.

He taught Krav Maga to the Chennai police force while serving as an instructor for the martial art. He had also trained actors like Anurag Kashyap and Amala Paul for their projects Imaikkaa Nodigal and Adho Andha Paravai Pola, respectively.

An extremely saddened Halitha Shameem, who directed Sreeram in Sillu Karupatti, wrote, "The zeal, the charm of yours will always be cherished sir."
