Yogi Babu's next film is titled Bommai Nayagi and it will be co-produced by director Pa Ranjith. The first look of the film was released earlier today by Ranjith. Directed by debutant filmmaker Shan, Bommai Nayagi went on floors in Cuddalore today. 

A source close to the production says, "The film will revolve around a father and his daughter. It will deal with this family's livelihood and how education, society, and politics affect them. Yogi Babu plays the father and this is the first time he's doing a full-fledged serious role. Ranjith liked the script immediately when Shan narrated it to him."

Bommai Nayagi also stars Subhatra, who is known for films like Vada Chennai and Kabali. Madras-fame Hari Krishnan is also playing an important role in this film that will have Sundaramurthy KS and Athisayaraj R handling music and cinematography, respectively.
