Reports have emerged that actor Ram Charan is teaming up with director Gowtam Tinnanuri of Jersey fame for a new film. The film, which will be bankrolled by Mega Supergood Films, is likely to go on floors in the second half of this year.

"The narration is complete and Gowtam has received the initial go-ahead from Charan. As Charan is currently busy with RRR and Acharya, an official announcement on the new project is expected to be made in March, coinciding with the actor's birthday," says a source close to the development.

Besides this film, Charan is also in talks with Master-fame Lokesh Kanagaraj and Shankar for a film each. "While Lokesh's film is an out-and-out action entertainer, Shankar's film is a social-emotional entertainer," the source shares.

Meanwhile, Charan has started shooting for Acharya. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film will see the Rangasthalam actor as a rebellious student leader. He has also commenced shooting for the climax sequences for Rajamouli's RRR.
