Dulquer Salmaan and director R Balki will be teaming up for a Bollywood project. Touted to be an edge of the seat thriller, reports suggest that the yet-to-be-titled film will go on floors in April.

This will be Dulquer's first film with Balki. Pre-production has allegedly begun for the project. 

Dulquer made his Bollywood debut with the 2018 film Karwaan, which also featured Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar. He later did Zoya Factor, where he shared screen space with Sonam Ahuja. 

Balki, known for films like Paa and Shamitabh, last made the 2018 film Padman, which starred Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Radhika Apte.  

Dulquer is currently awaiting the release of his Malayalam film Kurup, which sees him play the elusive real-life criminal Sukumara Kurup. The film will be released in five languages -- Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada.
