Release date of Netflix's Selena: The Series part 2 announced

The second part will reportedly follow Selena's life to her untimely, tragic death

Netflix has announced that part 2 of Selena: The Series will premiere on May 14. The streaming service announced this while also sharing that 25 million households tuned in to watch the first part of the series.

Selena: The Series portrays aspects of famous Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla and her journey to stardom. The series focuses on her family’s experiences dealing with her rocketing growth in the Latin music scene. The Walking Dead star Christian Serratos plays the titular role in the series.

The second part will reportedly follow Selena's life to her untimely, tragic death, when she was fatally shot, in 1995, by the former president of her fan club.

Created by Moises Zamora, the show stars Serratos alongside Gabriel Chavarria, Ricardo Chavira, Noemí Gonzalez, Seidy López, Jesse Posey and Natasha Perez.
