The first look of Silambarasan TR-Gautham Karthik's Pathu Thala will be released on January 18. The announcement was made by the film's production house Studio Green Productions today evening. 

Pathu Thala was last in the news for Kalaiarasan's addition to the cast. The official Tamil remake of the Kannada hit Mufti, Pathu Thala is directed by Sillunu Oru Kaadhal director Krishna. The film also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar and TeeJay Arunasalam in important roles. 

It has been revealed that Priya Bhavani Shankar will play a Tahsildar in the film, and is paired opposite Gautham Karthik. Shooting for the film is expected to begin in the last week of February. 

It may be noted that Simbu's Maanaadu first look was revealed on Pongal, January 14. Apart from this film, he has three other yet to be announced projects in the pipeline.
