Ronit Roy and Richa Chadha are set to play the leads in Voot Select’s upcoming original, Candy. Set in a boarding school in a misty hill town, the thriller series combines stories of ‘drugs, politics, ambition and murder.’ 

The upcoming show is directed by Ashish R Shukla and produced by Optimystix Entertainment. The cast also features Manu Rishi Chadha and Nakul Sehdev in pivotal roles. 

Richa stated she was drawn to her multidimensional role in the show. “This thriller/psychological horror space is new for me,” she said. “Playing characters with depth is something that has always interested me and this was the perfect opportunity. Of course, working with someone like Ronit is exciting, as this will be the first time that I will be sharing screen space with him as well as other brilliant actors like Nakul Sahdev and Manurishi Chadha.”

Candy is slated for release in 2021 on Voot Select.
