Suman Ghosh’s Aadhaar will be released in theatres on February 5. The film stars Vineet Kumar Singh as a man who becomes the first from his village to receive an Aadhaar card.

A professor of economics at Florida Atlantic University, Suman Ghosh has directed critically-lauded Bengali films like Podokkhep, Nobel Chor and Basu Poribar. Aadhaar marks his first film in Hindi.

Aadhaar is a satire on what’s happening around us,” Vineet had earlier told us in an interview. “There’s a lot of drama and humour too. You will see a reflection of our society in the film. We are not making the film to stir up controversy. It’s a relevant, common man’s story.”

The trailer of Aadhaar will be released tomorrow. The social drama also stars Sanjay Mishra and Saurabh Shukla. It is produced by Manish Mundra’s Drishyam Films and Jio Studios.
