Saif Ali Khan will join the shoot of Om Raut’s Adipurush from March. The actor, who essays the role of Raavan, is presently on paternity leave. The 50-year-old star and his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan are expecting their second child. 

Talking to Bombay Times, Om Raut revealed that Saif and Prabhas have been prepping extensively for Adiprusuh for the last three-four months. His team, meanwhile, is working on the final schedule of the film. 

Adipurush is a big-budget adaptation of the Ramayana, with Prabhas cast as Lord Ram. The multilingual epic will be shot in 3D. It is expected to be released in cinemas on August 11, 2022. 

Saif Ali Khan essayed the villain in Om Raut’s last directorial, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. The actor also headlines the upcoming political thriller series, Tandav.
