Director Karthick Naren has begun shooting for his upcoming film with Dhanush. The makers made the official announcement today, sharing pictures from the launch event on social media. 

Tentatively called D43, the film has Malavika Mohanan playing the female lead. Recently, Smruthi Venkat and Samuthirakani were roped in to play key roles. Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, D43 will have music by GV Prakash Kumar. 

The film has Virus writers Sharfu and Suhas penning the script, with lyricist Vivek making his screenwriting debut, credited for additional screenplay and dialogues.

This is Karthick’s third film after Dhuruvangal Pathinaru and Mafia.

Dhanush is currently awaiting the release of Jagame Thandiram, his film with Karthik Subbaraj. The Asuran actor also has Karnan, Atrangi Re, The Gray Man, as well as films with Selvaraghavan and Ram Kumar in his kitty.
