‘See you on the big screen in 2021’: Shah Rukh Khan’s New Year message to fans

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has finally released a video wishing his fans on New Year. The actor admits the delay as he smacks flies and records the video on his own (his team, apparently, was absent).

It starts with Shah Rukh reflecting on the year past, calling it one of the worst times in anyone’s life. He then hopes 2021 will turn out “bigger, better, brighter and more beautiful for all of us.”

Later in the video, Shah Rukh requests people to not send him elaborate New Year wishes. “They all mean the same thing,” he says, announcing his preference for concise, straightforward greetings.

Finally, after reminding his fans not to get too drunk and run naked on the streets, Shah Rukh drops a much-awaited hint about his cinematic return.

“See you on the big screen in 2021,” says the actor, who has reportedly started shooting for his next, Pathan. Directed by Siddhanth Anand, the as-yet unannounced film is also rumoured to star Deepika Padukone.
