We had previously reported that director Gautham Vasudev Menon will be teaming up with Silambarasan for a film. It's now known that this film is titled Nadhigalilae Neeradhum Suriyan. The film is named after a line from the song Ondra Renda Aasaigal from Gautham's Kaakha Kaakha. The announcement was made today by the director himself via Twitter, coinciding with his birthday.

The film, with music by AR Rahman and lyrics by Thamarai, will be bankrolled by Vels Film International.

Nadhigalilae Neeradhum Suriyan marks the fourth collaboration between Simbu and GVM after Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya, Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada, and the short film Karthik Dial Seytha Yenn.

Silamabarasan will next be seen in Maanadu and Pathu Thala. Gautham, meanwhile, has Joshua and Dhruva Natchathiram in different stages of production.
