On his 37th birthday, Nani treated his fans to his first look as Shyam from his upcoming film Shyam Singha Roy.

The actor, who had charmed the audience as a serial killer in V, has aced the Bengali look with his straight hair and a trim handlebar moustache. The poster shows an unidentified woman hugging Nani from the back, as he seems to swell with pride in an old Kolkata street in front of a printing press. 

Set in Kolkata, Shyam Singha Roy is rumoured to feature Nani as a film director who visualises himself as the protagonist of his movie.

Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the period drama also features Sai Pallavi, Kriti Shetty, and Madonna Sebastian as the female leads.
