Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi will be released in theatres on July 30. The film stars Alia Bhatt as Gangubai, a gangster and brothel owner in 60s Mumbai. It is adapted from one of the chapters in Hussain Zaidi’s book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai.

Sharing the film’s poster, Alia tweeted the film's release date. The teaser of Gangubai Kathiawadi will be out later today.

The film marks the 10th directorial venture of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. His last film, Padmaavat, was released in 2018. 

Alia was most recently seen in Sadak 2 in 2020. Her forthcoming releases are Brahmastra and RRR.
