Anubhav Sinha’s Anek, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, will be released in theatres on September 17. The film is currently being shot in the North East region of the country. 

Touted as the first mainstream film ‘set in the North East’, the makers have roped in Hollywood action director Stefan Richter to design the action sequences. He has earlier designed action sequences for Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Don 2 and Ryan Reynolds’ The Hitman’s Bodyguard.

According to sources, Anek will be Anubhav’s most expensive film till date.

Ayushmann had previously worked with Anubhav on Article 15. The actor also has Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui releasing this year.
