Netflix India has released the trailer for Bombay Begums, Alankrita Shrivastava’s series about five ambitious women in Mumbai. 

Rani (Pooja Bhatt) is the CEO of a major bank. She’s confronted by Lily (Amruta Subhash), whose son has been in an accident, apparently connected to Rani. Shai (Aadhya Anand) is Rani’s rebellious daughter, Ayesha (Plabita Borthakur) an employee at her bank. Finally, there’s Fatima (Shahana Goswami), on her way to becoming the new deputy MD while expecting a child. 

"Bombay Begums is a story about Indian women that I hope women in India, and across the world will connect with,” Alankrita had earlier shared. “It's the story of glass ceilings shattered, and also of the hearts broken in the process. I have tried to create a world that reflects the realities of urban working women.”  

Bombay Begums also stars Rahul Bose, Vivek Gomber and Danish Husain in supporting turns. It is scheduled to drop on March 8.
