It is confirmed that National Award-winning director Vasanthabalan will be teaming up with Arjun Das of Kaithi fame. While the Master actor will be playing the hero of the film, Dushara Vijayan, who is part of Pa Ranjith's upcoming film Sarpatta Parambarai, will play the lead female role in the upcoming film. 

It is speculated that the yet-untitled film is a remake of the 2019 family drama The Lift Boy. However, the makers are yet to confirm the news. 

The upcoming film is produced by Vasanthabalan and a few of his school friends under the banner UBoyz Studios. 

Vasanthabalan's last venture, Kaaviya Thalaivan, came out in 2014, and opened to mixed reviews. The director then teamed up with GV Prakash for the film Jail, which is yet to see the light of the day. 

On the other hand, Arjun Das has signed up for another film as lead. However, the cast and crew details of the untitled film are yet to be announced.
