Kangana Ranaut said she’s gotten increased police protection after Congress workers tried to stop the shoot of her upcoming film Dhaakad in Madhya Pradesh. She said the Congress MLAs claimed to protest on behalf of farmers.

Kangana, who has been vocal against the farmers' protests, has tweeted: “Police protection has been increased around me as @INCIndia workers in MP carried out a protest to stop my shoot. Congress MLA’s are saying they are protesting on behalf of farmers, which farmers gave them such a power of attorney why can’t they protest for themselves?”

She also shared a video of the crowd, stating: “This evening congress workers outside my shoot location, for now police have dispersed them and I had to change my car and come via longer route .... chronicles of an opinionated woman.”

Recently, Congress leaders in MP’s Betul district had threatened to not allow Kangana to shoot if she did not apologise to farmers over her tweets.

In response, BJP leader and state Home Minister Narottam Mishra stated that the government will ensure ‘behan-beti’ Kangana faces no problem while shooting.
