Nagesh Kukunoor will direct a bilingual series based on the life of B Ramalinga, the founder of Satyam Computer Services. The series will trace Raju’s rise and fall against the backdrop of the Satyam Scandal. It will be based on Kingshuk Nag's book, The Double Life Of Ramalinga Raju.

Ramalinga Raju is a former tech mogul from Andhra Pradesh. In 2009, he admitted to falsifying his company’s accounts to mislead investors. He was convicted of corporate fraud in 2015.

"The Double Life of Ramalinga Raju has been an interesting read and I am delighted to be a part of this visionary project," Nagesh said.

The upcoming series will drop on SonyLIV, which also released Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story. The project is being backed by Applause Entertainment.

"Viewers are intrigued by biopics. Stories of real people and what they've done are always fascinating to watch. Also, many have witnessed this story unfold in front of their eyes, through the medium of news. Thus, to be able to get an insider view is definitely an exciting prospect for the viewers," Sameer Nair, CEO, Applause Entertainment, said.
