Director Jeethu Joseph has informed that he has completed the post-production of Drishyam 2 and the film is ready for release.

Amazon Prime Video has acquired the digital streaming rights of the Mohanlal-starrer. An announcement regarding the same was out on New Year's Day. The team will reveal the premiere date once everything is finalised.

A direct sequel to the original, Drishyam 2 continues the story of Georgekutty, played by Mohanlal, and his family. Murali Gopy, who plays a cop in the film, is the new addition to the cast.

Aashirvad Cinemas is producing the sequel.
