Malayalam hit film Nayattu is getting remade in Tamil, and director Gautham Menon will be remaking the film thriller, which was directed and co-produced by Martin Prakkat.

Nayattu is also getting remade in Telugu and Hindi. While Allu Arjun's production house has bagged the rights to remake it in Tollywood, John Abraham has bought the rights for the Hindi remake. Though an official announcement is awaited regarding the remakes, Martin has confirmed the developments to Silverscreen.

Nayattu, which had a brief theatrical run in April, was later released on Netflix. The streaming giant describes the films as, "Three police officers become pawns for unscrupulous lawmakers when they are framed in an incident amid political elections and must flee to evade arrest. Kunchacko Boban stars with Filmfare Award South winners Joju George and Nimisha Sajayan in this crime thriller."

Meanwhile, Gautham Menon is awaiting the release of Navarasa, a nine-part Tamil series, which is set to premiere on Netflix on August 6. Gautham has directed a segment in the series titled Guitar Kambi Mela Nindru, starring Suriya in the lead.
