Acclaimed cinematographer and filmmaker KV Anand passed away earlier today after suffering a cardiac arrest. With the news sending shockwaves across the industry, actor Silambarasan TR expressed his grief over the demise of the director.

Simbu posted a statement, saying that the director was in touch with him every day and that his mind refuses to believe that somebody who was talking yesterday, passed away the next morning. "I was hoping the news was fake," he added.

The actor revealed that he was supposed to act in the director's 2011 superhit film Ko, and that he couldn't do it because of the circumstances back then. "Recently, he approached me with a wonderful script and we decided to make a film together."

Silambarasan added that Anand was a significant figure among cinematographers who found success as directors. "He would have given us more thought-provoking films, and this is saddening. My deepest condolences to his friends and family. May his soul rest in peace."

The news of Anand's demise has left friends, colleagues, and fans alike in shock.
