Allu Arjun tests positive for COVID-19; asks fans and well-wishers not to worry

Actor Allu Arjun revealed on social media that he has tested positive for COVID-19. 

In a statement on his social media pages, Allu Arjun said, "Hello everyone! I have tested positive for COVID. I have isolated myself at home and have been following all protocols. I request those who have come in contact with me to get tested. Stay home, stay safe and get vaccinated when you get the chance. I request all my wellwishers and fans not to worry about me as I am doing fine." 

Following this update, a lot of celebrities and fans took to social media to wish him a speedy recovery. 

Allu Arjun has Sukumar's upcoming film, Pushpa, in the works. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film is set in the backdrop of the Seshachalam forest and revolves around red sanders smuggling. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Anasuya Bhardwaj. 

The Hyderabad schedule of the film has been underway and recently Fahadh Faasil, who plays the antagonist, has joined the sets. 

The Pushpa team had been working on an alternate-day system, but now that Allu Arjun has contracted the virus, they have suspended the shoot. 

The film will be released simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi later this year.
