Actor Nayanthara has resumed shooting for her portions in Rajinikanth's upcoming film Annaatthe in Hyderabad.

Earlier, on April 8, Rajinikanth flew to Hyderabad to resume shooting for the film.

The film, which marks the return of Rajinikanth to a rural set-up, has been in the making for a long time now due to the pandemic. The shooting of the Siva-directorial came to a screeching halt in December last year when several crew members tested positive for COVID-19. This was followed by Rajinikanth's health issues, which extended the break.

The film is expected to hit screens this Diwali.
