Gautham Menon onboard Vetri Maaran’s Viduthalai

The two have earlier directed separate segments in the Netflix-produced anthology Paava Kathaigal

Filmmaker-actor Gautham Menon will be joining the cast of Vetri Maaran's directorial venture Viduthalai, according to an official statment from the maker's side The film stars Vijay Sethupathi and Soori in the lead roles.

The first look posters of Viduthalai featuring Vijay Sethupathi as ‘The Mentor’ and Soori as ‘The Protagonist’ were unveiled last week. If speculations are proven true, the film will mark the first collaboration of Vetri Maaran and Gautham Menon. The two have earlier directed separate segments in the Netflix-produced anthology Paava Kathaigal.

Interestingly, Viduthalai is bankrolled by Elred Kumar, who also produced Gautham Menon’s Neethaane En Ponvasantham in 2012.

On the career front, Gautham Menon was last seen in Ethirpara Mutham, a segment from the anthology Kutty Story, which he also directed. His upcoming directorial ventures include the long-awaited Dhruva Natchathiram led by Vikram, Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha starring Varun, and an untitled project with Simbu.
