Speculations were rife that the makers of the Venkatesh and Meena-starrer Drushyam 2 had decided to go with a direct OTT release, following the voluntary shutdown of theatres across Telangana to prevent the spread of Covid-19. However, the team has vehemently denied these reports.

"We are happy that everybody is showing interest in our film and we believe that Drushyam 2 deserves a theatrical release. We will finalise the release date once theatres operate at full capacity in Andhra, Telangana, and overseas," says a source close to the team.

Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the shooting of Drushyam 2 was wrapped up recently in Kerala. 

Drushyam 2 also features Nadhiya, Naresh VK, Sampath Raj, Kruthika and Esther Anil in supporting roles. The film has music by Anup Rubens.
