Rakul Preet Singh steers a truck in the upcoming Netflix comedy Sardar Ka Grandson. The film is about a Punjabi boy (Arjun Kapoor) trying to fulfil the last wish of his grandma (Neena Gupta). Rakul plays a 'quiet, sensible girl' named Radha in the film.

This is the first time the actor was behind the driver’s seat of a truck. “I personally like driving a lot and the entire process was a lot more fun than one could have imagined,” Rakul shared. “As they say, driving the truck is not easy, but I was able to take it on confidently.”

The makers had a truck driver on set to train the cast. Rakul said everyone on set was surprised by her driving skills. “It was like a once in a lifetime experience for me.”

Sardar Ka Grandson also stars Kanlwajit Singh, John Abraham, Aditi Rao Hydari and Kumud Mishra. The film is directed by Kaashvi Nair. It is set to premiere on Netflix on May 18.
