Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn is making his digital debut with Rudra - The Edge of Darkness. Set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar, the crime drama series is the Indian remake of Luther. Ajay will essay a cop tracking down complex crimes in Mumbai. 

Rudra is co-produced by Applause Entertainment with BBC Studios India. 

“My attempt has always been to tell unique stories and work with good talent,” Ajay said. “The idea is to raise the bar of entertainment in India. The digital world excites me, and I am looking forward to working with Applause and BBC to bring this series to life on Disney+ Hotstar VIP.” 

While he has played cops before, Ajay said that his character in Rudra is "more intense, complex and dark." 

“What drew me most to his persona, is that he is possibly the greyest character you will come across in recent times,” the actor shared.
