Speculations were rife that Sukumar's pan-Indian film with Vijay Deverakonda had been shelved. It was also said that Vijay was no longer keen to be a part of the film due to creative differences with the Rangasthalam director, who was therefore contemplating reuniting with Ram Charan for his next. These reports have now been refuted by the film's production house, Falcon Creations.

Falcon Creations LLP has stated that the Sukumar-Vijay Deverakonda film has not been put on the backburner and will go on floors as planned. "The film will start rolling once Sukumar and Vijay Deverakonda complete their current assignments. We urge everyone to not believe in the rumours and reiterate that the combination is only going to get bigger," said the statement from the production house.

Produced by Kedar Selagamsetty, the film is planned for release in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.

Currently, Vijay Deverakonda is working on Puri Jagannadh's martial arts drama, Liger, while Sukumar is helming Pushpa, starring Arjun Arjun. Both films are expected to be wrapped up in the second half of this year.
