Sam Levinson, best known as the showrunner of HBO's Euphoria, is set to make another series for the network based on Stephen Markley's debut novel Ohio. The book is a murder mystery that also makes a social commentary and explores subjects like war and racial issues. 

The book is described in Goodreads as, "One sweltering night in 2013, four former high school classmates converge on their hometown in northeastern Ohio. Set throughout a single evening, Ohio toggles between the perspectives of these unforgettable characters as they unearth dark secrets, revisit old regrets and uncover—and compound—bitter betrayals. Before the evening is through, these narratives converge masterfully to reveal a mystery so dark and shocking it will take your breath away.

Markley, the author of the novel will also write and executive produce the series adaptation. 

Levinson has earlier co-written HBO's film The Wizard of Lies, which was directed by his father Barry Levinson. He is currently busy with the second season of the network's hit show Euphoria. 

The series stars Zendaya, Maude Apatow, Angus Cloud, and Eric Dane in pivotal roles. The first season is currently streaming in India on Disney+Hotstar.
