Pranay Deepak Sawant, the makeup artist who did the makeup for Anupam Kher in The Accidental Prime Minister, passed away. The actor took to Instagram to express his grief over Pranay’s demise.

Sharing a video in which he is seen getting into the look of Manmohan Singh, the actor wrote, “A good performance has many contributors! Deeply saddened to know about the sudden death of 33-year-old makeup man Pranay Deepak Sawant. He did my make-up of Dr Manmohan Singh in the movie The Accidental Prime Minister! He was a genius! Always smiling!” 

Anupam added, “His family must be devastated. My condolences to them and to the entire fraternity of hair and makeup artists! Om Shanti!”

Anupam Kher was last seen in One Day: Justice Delivered and will be seen in The Kashmir Files, directed by Vivek Agnihotri.
