Pawan Kalyan has tested positive for Covid-19 and is currently undergoing treatment for the virus. The actor-turned-politician, who went into isolation on Sunday after his personal staff and security members tested positive for COVID-19, is currently being quarantined at his farmhouse in Hyderabad.

In a statement, Pawan Kalyan's party Jana Sena said, "Pawan Kalyan has tested positive for COVID-19. He is following all the protocols and is in self-quarantine at his farmhouse. He is being treated by a team of doctors for a mild lung infection, fever, body ache and has been put on oxygen support. His condition remains stable and his older brother Chiranjeevi and other family members are standing by his side in these trying times."

Earlier this month, right after returning from Tirupathi, Pawan Kalyan had tested negative for the novel coronavirus. The actor, however, complained of fever and difficulty in breathing and got himself tested again on Wednesday and the report came out positive for COVID-19 today.

Pawan Kalyan recently made a comeback to cinema after a three-year hiatus with last week's release, Vakeel Saab, directed by Sriram Venu.

He was shooting for Hari Hara Veera Mallu and the Telugu remake of Malayalam drama Ayyappanum Koshiyum  before being diagnosed with the coronavirus.
