Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi-starrer Virata Parvam, which was scheduled to hit screens on April 30, has been postponed due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases. The production companies Suresh Productions and SLV Cinemas issued a joint statement on behalf of the film’s team to announce the postponement.

“Due to the second wave of COVID-19 and the alarming rise in cases, Team Virata Parvam has decided to postpone the movie release from April 30. The new release date will be announced soon. Please mask up and stay safe,” read the statement.

The news comes days after Nani-starrer Tuck Jagadish, which was scheduled for release on April 23, was pushed owing to the mushrooming number of cases.

Virata Parvam, directed by Venu Udugula, also stars Priyamani, Nivetha Pethuraj, Nandita Das, and Naveen Chandra.
