Netflix's original series Bridgerton has been renewed for season 3 and 4. The news comes even before the completion of shooting for season 2.

Season 2 of the show follows Lord Anthony Bridgerton's quest for love. Regé-Jean Page’s character, Simon Basset or the Duke of Hastings, will not be part of the upcoming season.

Based on Julia Quinn’s best-selling series of novels, Bridgerton is set in the lavish and competitive world of London high society. Netflix describes the series as an unveiling of a “seductive, sumptuous world replete with intricate rules and dramatic power struggles, where no one is truly ever on steady ground.”

In the series, the powerful, aristocratic Bridgerton family of eight siblings navigate the 19th-century marriage scene in search of love and adventure.

Hailing from Shonda Rhimes’ Shondaland, season one of Bridgerton premiered on Christmas 2020. Bridgerton is executive produced by Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers and Chris Van Dusen, who is also the show’s creator and showrunner.
