Dulquer Salmaan is singing a song for the first time in Tamil for his upcoming film Hey Sinamika. The actor has previously sung for nine films in Malayalam, including ABCD: American-Born Confused Desi, Charlie, and Parava.

Hey Sinamika, which marks ace choreographer Brindha Gopal’s first directorial venture, is bankrolled by Jio Studios. Interestingly, the romantic comedy also marks the studio’s first Tamil feature.

The official Twitter handle of Jio Studio posted pictures from the song's recording and revealed that Dulquer had sung it.

Hey Sinamika also features popular actors such as K Bhagyaraj, Kushbu Sundar, and Suhasini Mani Ratnam.

Notably, the title of the film is inspired by the Aye Sinamika track from Mani Ratnam’s OK Kanmani, which also starred Dulquer in the lead.
